Let's get outside....

I'm so excited about this new book by Angela J Hanscom: 

Balanced and Barefoot: How Unrestricted Outdoor Play Makes for Strong, Confident, and Capable Children

Now is a great time to be outside!  Blue skies, electric green trees, flowers everywhere, and no bugs (yet).  Late dinners because we can't give in and come inside until the sun sets - and even then, just a little star gazing.

...and just like that, a quick trip to the garden to stake the tomatoes becomes a lesson in girl power - it's ok, he enjoyed it, too!

We started our Roots & Shoots Summer group - I can't wait to see what these kids decide to do!!   Every action matters, every action can make a difference.  #INSPIRED!

Global Girlfriends = Greater Good

Global Girlfriends  is easily one of my most favorite reads.  Stacey Edgar's story is such an inspiration -  HOW ONE MOM MADE IT HER BUSINESS TO HELP WOMEN IN POVERTY WORLDWIDE.

I keep my copy close by, as if just by having it within reach, the wisdom & joy on every dog eared page will guide me through the day.
